Pytech’s long-time logistics center in Baku will cease operations by end of 2019 Q3. Staff and services will wind down to at least 50% of current levels by the summer. Personnel will have the option to continue their roles in Berlin, Dakar, or Shuozhou. No impact to current projects is anticipated.
“Pytech has had a presence in the region dating back more than 10 years, and many of us are proud to have called Baku home during this period,” notes company spokesman James McConaghie. “We thank the Interior Ministry for their support throughout the years, including now as we transition some 70 staff and families to new postings.”
“Don’t worry,” he adds, “We’ll most certainly return as soon as conditions allow.”
